Brent Holzapfel
Brent Holzapfel grew up doing gymnastics in his mother's gym for eleven years, where he had free reign over the trampolines and foam pit and at age 23 began his journey into circus at the City Museum in St. Louis. He learned juggling and studied contortion and hand balancing with renowned Mongolian contortion teacher Rosa Yagaantseteg.
A quick learner, he became proficient at Aerial Silks, Trapeze, Rope, and Straps and began his performance and teaching career. Since then, he has performed in such shows and venues as The Beggar's Carnival at The Casa Loma Ballroom in St. Louis, Circus Kaput, The House of Blues in New Orleans, The Lakewood Theater in Dallas, and The Bacchus Ball at Union Station in Kansas City.
After 15 years of aerial performing and instruction, Brent looks forward to continuing his love of movement with GYROTONIC® exercise. He gravitated towards the practice because of its focus on spinal mobility with the emphasis on gaining strength in all areas. He is excited to share these lessons and tools with everyone.
Brent is a graduate of Webster university with a degree from the school of Communications.
He has passed the GYROTONIC® Foundations course and is earning his GYROTONIC® Level 1 Certification.
