Peggy Meier

I have been a massage therapist since 2000.  The modalities I am trained to do include Swedish, Neuromuscular Therapy, Repetitive Use Injury, and Dr. Vodder's Manual Lymph Drainage. My goal as a therapist is to use all my tools to give my clients the best care.

In 2011 I was diagnosed with head and neck cancer. I fought hard with receiving all my treatment and I was fortunate to have a great support system.  When you are fighting for the ability to keep living you take a good look at your life.  I felt I was working to much and not enjoying life enough so I decided to give up my massage business. That did not last long because I found a modality that really hit home with me, Manual Lymph Drainage(MLD). MLD is used to help cancer survivors who had unfortunately got lymphedema from their cancer treatment. I thought this was my calling, to help people living with the side effects of cancer. Once I learned this modality I found out it helps with so much more. For more on the Manual Lymph Drainage and the things it helps with feel free to go to my website (betterlifemassage.net).  This is a very powerful treatment and now I am able to help people with many things.  Some conditions are chronic pain, sinus issues, low energy, and getting sick a lot.

Massage Therapy is also a wonderful part of health. Many times tight muscles can lead to postural problems. Once this happens pain sets in. Getting massage can help correct this or ensure the pain does not come.

I chose to learn the Dr. Vodder Method of Manual Lymph Drainage because Dr. Vodder developed MLD in the 1930's. I went through 160 hours of training to learn this method. The Dr. Vodder method is the only one that requires you to get checked every 2 years to make sure you are doing it correctly.

RATES: Massage Therapy $70 for 60 min., $100 for 90 min. | Manual Lymph Drainage $80 for 60 min. $110 for 90 min.

Acupuncture & Cupping

  • Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese system of medicine in which a fine needle pierces the skin to a depth of a few millimeters and is then withdrawn. According to traditional Chinese medicine, stimulating specific acupuncture points on the body corrects imbalances in the flow of energy or life force – known as qi or chi (CHEE) – through channels known as meridians.
  • Electro-Acupuncture is when the acupuncture needles are inserted and then attached to a small device that puts out a tiny electrical current. This current runs through the needles and increases the efficacy of the treatment. It feels like a light pulse and is not painful or uncomfortable. It acts to increase the strength of the treatment.
  • Cupping is the use of suction cups which acts to draw out stagnant energy from inside the body and brings it to the surface where it can be released. Consider this needle-free therapy a reverse massage. It is used in areas such as the back, shoulders, and forearms when the muscles are very tight or there is aching pain. Treatment benefits the lungs, treats coughs and asthma, and combats pain in multiple areas of the body. Cupping often leaves a circular bruise-like mark where the cup was which can last from a few days to a couple weeks.

  • AcuFacial is a methodology which aims to achieve facelift-style results by promoting the creation of collagen beneath the skin to help fill in wrinkles. The goal is to achieve results similar to Botox or Restylane. It increases the collagen production in areas that need it, like frown lines, smile lines and smoker’s lines around the mouth. In addition, the color and texture of the skin brightens and smoothes. Sagging gets lifted in a natural way. Acupuncture treats the root cause of the problem, without the side effects of Western drugs.
