GYROTONIC® Applications for Breast Cancer
Participant Testimonials

Anne went above and beyond with her materials and information and I so appreciated the details and printed materials. Exceptional! The way she delivered and structured the course was super, and I especially appreciated the lymphatic massage techniques. A super practical and easy-to-follow massage to help clients. Indeed, the subject matter is of a sensitive nature, and I was grateful for the space and time she held for each one of us in attendance. The progressions were well-intended, and the movement will be so beneficial to this population as well as be used for just about anyone. Thank you, Anne, for the amazing research and references for further knowledge. I look forward to being a resource to help so many with this knowledge.

As a Holistic Physical Therapist who treats the medically complex, including clients who have had various complications from radiation, chemo, and thoracic surgeries, I have had to break down and modify movement sequences from the classical GYROTONIC and GYROKINESIS programs to fit this population on my own.

This course, as you can imagine, does a deep dive into the shoulder girdle, brachial plexus, and lymphatic movement. It is deeply applicable to gently dive into the sacred space of the heart on a somatic level, as the movement sequences in this course to have a system to open the heart and throat structures with significant shock and disassociation. At times, the big motions allow people to keep their deepest emotional flinching patterns.

The way that Anne breaks down movement patterns in this class is, in my opinion, a course for all GYROTONIC practitioners to take early on in their GYROTONIC journey. As we have all experienced, it is difficult for many clients to “get the shoulders right” and avoid imprinting faulty habits in the arch curl and upper-body sequence.

I thoroughly enjoyed this class, as the breakdown of the movement practices take all the other classes I have taken to the next level, AND I now have lots of new strategies for all of my complex clients who cannot necessarily perform the standard series.

Anne is an expert teacher and passionate about helping the medically complex. As for some of the nervousness that some trainers feel about medically complex clients that are showing up to their studios, knowing the way to navigate these topics (while having the provided referrals to make and language to keep practitioners safe) is crucial! US GYROTONIC trainers, in this day and age of the failed medical system can expect to be getting more of this going forward as traditional PT is not cutting it and the clients know this and are looking for more. THANK YOU ANNE!
